About Me
I Like to Wait for the Right Moment
Behind the Camera
I'm Dominic Kurz and I live in Andermatt – right in the middle of the mountains and, quite honestly, exactly where I love to be with my camera.
Photography has been part of my life for many years. What fascinates me most are the moments that cannot be planned: beautiful light over a landscape, an unexpected atmosphere while travelling, or an animal with its very own character.
I don't want to simply take as many photographs as possible. What matters much more to me is recognising the right moment and capturing exactly what makes it special.
Because sometimes, a single moment is all it takes to turn a good photograph into something special.
When the Right Moment Happens
I'm fascinated by moments that cannot be planned: beautiful light over a landscape, an unexpected atmosphere along the way, or a place that suddenly looks completely different from what you expected. These are the moments I want to capture with my camera – authentically, with high quality, and with an eye for detail.
More Than Just a Photograph
For me, photography means seeing the right moment and giving it room to unfold. Whether in the mountains, out with animals, or working on a commissioned project, I want to create images that feel authentic and continue to tell a story even years later. It isn't simply about capturing a subject. It's about light, atmosphere, perspective, and that subtle difference that turns a good photograph into an image with character.
